Legal agreement

Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your account, payments, 180-day course validity, educational content, progress, certificates, and use of the MechatronicsLAB platform.

Effective 21 July 2026Version 2.0180-day paid access

Agreement

Your agreement with MechatronicsLAB

By registering, purchasing course access, or using protected learning content, you agree to follow the terms stated below.

Important: Paid course access is valid for 180 consecutive days from activation. Continued access after that period is not guaranteed.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, purchasing course access, accessing a lesson, or otherwise using MechatronicsLAB, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not register, purchase access, or use the protected areas of the platform.

Account eligibility and registration

You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information. You must not register using another person's identity or provide false contact, payment, or transaction information. We may request additional information when reasonably necessary to verify your account or payment.

Account security

You are responsible for protecting your password, verification codes, and account information. You must notify the platform administrator promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Activity performed through your account may be treated as activity authorized by you unless you report unauthorized access.

Account types

MechatronicsLAB may provide free, trial, and paid account levels. Available lessons, simulations, downloads, assessments, certificates, and support may differ according to the account type and course purchased. Free accounts cannot access lessons designated as protected paid content.

Trial access

Trial access may be provided for a duration determined by the platform administrator. Trial content, features, and duration may differ between users or promotions. When a trial expires, the account may automatically return to the free level unless paid access is approved.

Paid course activation

Submitting a payment or upgrade request does not activate paid access automatically unless the platform specifically states otherwise. Paid access begins after the submitted transaction has been verified and the course has been activated on your account by the administrator or payment system.

Course validity

Paid course access is guaranteed for 180 consecutive calendar days beginning on the date the purchased course is activated on your account. The activation date shown in your account or administrative records will be used to calculate the validity period.

Access after the validity period

Continued access after the 180-day validity period is not guaranteed. After expiration, lessons, simulations, assessments, downloads, support, progress records, updates, and certificate features may become unavailable. Continued access, renewal, or extension may require administrator approval or an additional payment.

No automatic validity extension

The 180-day validity period will not normally be extended because of account inactivity, personal scheduling, failure to complete the course, device problems, internet problems, forgotten login details, or failure to use available course time. Any exceptional extension is provided solely at the administrator's discretion unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Prices and payment information

Course prices, discounts, payment methods, taxes, charges, and promotional offers may change before a purchase is completed. You must review the displayed payment information and submit the correct amount, payment account, transaction identifier, and proof of payment.

Payment verification

Manual payments and upgrade requests remain pending until they are reviewed. A request may be delayed or rejected if the payment cannot be verified, the amount is incorrect, the transaction information is incomplete, the proof is unclear, the transaction was reversed, or the payment was sent through an unsupported method.

Non-refundable payments

Once payment has been verified and the purchased course has been correctly activated, the payment is generally final and non-refundable. Refunds are not normally provided for change of mind, account inactivity, unused course time, failure to complete lessons, dissatisfaction caused by personal expectations, or expiration of the 180-day validity period. This policy does not limit any refund or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

Duplicate payments and payment errors

A duplicate payment, verified payment-processing error, or payment for which the purchased access was not activated may be submitted for administrative review. You must provide the relevant account details, transaction identifier, payment date, amount, and supporting proof. Approval will depend on verification and applicable legal obligations.

Promotions and discount codes

Discount codes and promotional offers may have separate eligibility requirements, validity dates, usage limits, and course restrictions. Promotional benefits cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot normally be combined unless the offer expressly permits it.

Permitted use

Your account and course access are provided only for your personal, non-transferable educational use. You may study lessons, operate simulations, complete assessments, and use permitted downloads for your own learning during the active access period.

Prohibited account sharing

You must not share, lend, rent, sell, transfer, or publicly disclose your account credentials or course access. Multiple people must not use one individual account. We may restrict or suspend an account when login activity reasonably indicates unauthorized sharing or resale.

Prohibited platform activity

You must not bypass access controls, scrape protected content, probe platform security, interfere with services, introduce malicious software, automate abusive requests, manipulate progress, submit false payment evidence, impersonate another person, or use the platform for unlawful activity.

Educational content licence

MechatronicsLAB grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to access purchased educational content during the active validity period. This access does not transfer ownership of any lesson, simulation, design, source material, document, image, video, assessment, or other platform content.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise identified, the platform design, branding, lessons, simulations, graphics, written materials, assessments, downloadable resources, and related content are owned by or licensed to MechatronicsLAB and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Copying and redistribution

You must not copy, record, reproduce, republish, sell, sublicense, upload, publicly display, distribute, translate, modify, reverse engineer, or create competing course materials from protected platform content without prior written permission, except where applicable law expressly permits such use.

User-submitted information

Information, payment evidence, messages, feedback, answers, files, and other materials submitted by you must be accurate, lawful, and relevant. You must not submit confidential information belonging to another person, harmful files, unlawful content, or material that infringes another person's rights.

Course changes

Course titles, lesson order, simulations, examples, files, assessments, instructors, and platform features may be corrected, updated, replaced, reorganized, or removed to improve accuracy, usability, safety, security, or compatibility. These changes do not necessarily create a right to a refund when the essential purchased learning service remains available.

Platform availability

We aim to provide reasonable platform availability during active course access. However, uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed. Temporary interruption may occur because of maintenance, hosting failures, software errors, cyber incidents, payment-provider issues, internet outages, emergency work, or events outside our reasonable control.

Maintenance and interruptions

Planned or emergency maintenance may temporarily restrict access. Where practical, we may provide notice of significant planned interruption. A brief interruption does not automatically extend course validity, but a substantial platform-wide interruption may be reviewed by the administrator.

Device and internet requirements

You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, supported browser, stable internet connection, functional email or phone access, and any software required to use the platform. Some interactive simulations may require modern browser features and may perform differently on older or low-powered devices.

Educational purpose and safety

Lessons and simulations are provided for educational purposes. They are not a substitute for qualified engineering supervision, workplace training, manufacturer instructions, electrical codes, industrial procedures, or professional safety advice. Do not use simulated results as the sole basis for operating real machinery or electrical equipment.

No guaranteed outcome

Purchasing or completing a course does not guarantee employment, admission, certification by an external institution, income, examination success, professional licensing, or mastery of every subject. Learning outcomes depend on participation, practice, prior knowledge, and other individual factors.

Progress records

Progress is calculated using activity recorded by the platform. Progress data may be delayed, recalculated, corrected, or removed if it is incomplete, duplicated, manipulated, generated through prohibited automation, or affected by a technical error.

Assessments

Assessment availability, pass marks, attempt limits, and completion requirements may differ between courses. You must complete assessments honestly and must not use another person's answers, account, identity, or unauthorized assistance.

Certificates

A certificate may be issued only when the configured completion, assessment, payment, identity, and account requirements have been satisfied. Certificates represent completion of a MechatronicsLAB learning activity and do not represent a government licence, university degree, professional registration, or external accreditation unless expressly stated.

Certificate corrections

You are responsible for entering your name and profile information correctly. Requests to correct a certificate may require identity verification and may be restricted after issuance. A certificate may be cancelled if it was obtained through false information, account sharing, manipulated progress, or other misconduct.

Support

Support may be provided through the contact methods and service hours displayed on the platform. Response times are not guaranteed. Support does not include completing assessments for users, providing private tutoring unless purchased separately, configuring unrelated third-party systems, or resolving problems with unsupported devices.

Third-party services

The platform may use or link to third-party payment providers, hosting services, video services, communication tools, or external websites. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. MechatronicsLAB is not responsible for third-party content or interruptions outside its reasonable control.

Privacy

Personal information is handled according to the MechatronicsLAB Privacy Policy and applicable law. By using the platform, you acknowledge that information may be processed as necessary for registration, payment verification, course delivery, support, security, progress tracking, and legal compliance.

Suspension and restriction

We may temporarily restrict or suspend an account while investigating suspected payment fraud, false information, account sharing, unauthorized access, security threats, intellectual-property violations, abusive conduct, or other breaches of these terms.

Account termination

We may terminate an account for a serious or repeated violation of these terms. Where permitted by law, termination resulting from user misconduct may cause immediate loss of course access, progress, downloads, certificates, and remaining validity without a refund.

User-requested account closure

You may request account closure by contacting the administrator. Closing an account does not automatically create a refund right and may permanently remove access to active courses, progress history, saved information, and certificate services.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MechatronicsLAB will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss resulting from platform use, inability to access the platform, reliance on educational simulations, loss of data, third-party services, or unauthorized account use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

User responsibility and indemnity

You are responsible for losses resulting from your unlawful use, intentional misuse, infringement of another person's rights, false payment submissions, unauthorized redistribution of protected content, or material violation of these terms. Any indemnity obligation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Force majeure

MechatronicsLAB will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, widespread internet or electricity failure, war, civil disturbance, government action, epidemic, labour disruption, cyberattack, or failure of essential third-party infrastructure.

Changes to these terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated to reflect changes in courses, platform functionality, payment processes, security practices, business operations, or legal requirements. The updated effective date and version may be displayed on this page.

Continued use after changes

Where legally permitted, continued use of the platform after revised terms become effective means that you accept the revised terms. If a material change requires separate consent, we may request confirmation through the website, account dashboard, or another appropriate communication method.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Bangladesh, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights or protections available under applicable law.

Dispute resolution

You should first contact the platform administrator and provide a clear description of the issue, your account information, relevant dates, and supporting evidence. The parties should attempt to resolve the matter in good faith before pursuing any formal remedy available under applicable law.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

No waiver

A failure or delay by MechatronicsLAB to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce that provision later. A waiver is effective only when it is clearly communicated by an authorized representative.

Contact

Questions, payment concerns, access problems, account requests, or complaints relating to these terms should be submitted through the official contact method shown on the MechatronicsLAB website. Include sufficient information for the administrator to identify and review your request.
